The Motorcoach Industry Fly-in powered by UMA is an opportunity for industry members to rollup their sleeves and tell their legislators what’s on their mind and advance legislation supported by the industry.
Walking (and sometimes running!) through the halls of Congress affords a new perspective on how “the system” actually works. New participants are often surprised to discover they are just one of the many industries with members calling on Congress.
Participants routinely arrive for an afternoon of preparation before their prescheduled appointments the following day. We schedule all the appointments for participants, and they should expect to conduct six to eight meetings. Along with their U.S. House Representative and U.S Senators, participants are paired with other participants from their state to support the efforts.
After a day on the hill, participants usually participate in a wrap-up meeting to share war stories and successes.
Shaping legislation is the most important work a national trade association does. We hope you will consider the opportunity and join the effort April 15-16.
